I told you I would be lonely when you'd gone, and you laughed, and said, "I don't think so."
I asked you what you mean, since no one ever comes here, and you said, "That's what I mean."
What did you mean? Did you mean it shouldn't trouble me, to live alone, that I should be functioning and thinking and working to occupy this lifetime, instead of dreaming of what may be, what might be, what will be?
I end these musings with a quote:
Isn't it always amazing! The fact of time, time passing, time passed and never to be retrieved...but you do get used to it.
Do you?
Don't you?
Don't you...what?
Get used to it.
Used to...?
Time passing.
Oh, no! Oh, yes, I suppose.
Your quote made me laugh, I find it amusing to have people be confused.
ReplyDeletePerhaps he thought it possible for one in love to live a normal life.
Yes, I imagine you are right...
ReplyDeleteSilly Boy...
ReplyDeleteIt is impossible.
When you fall in love, your life will never be the same ever again.
I suppose it is an evolution of the senses, a newly defined perspective, a unique view of the world and the people within it.
ReplyDeleteOf course, and suddenly your world revolves around one person, and everything makes you think of that person..
ReplyDeleteAnd when they leave you forever, you wonder how you lived without them...
You sound like you know too much about this sorry game. Be careful whom you give your heart to...but not so careful that you never give it away at all. Unless you can risk everything, you might not find real love.
ReplyDeleteOf course, cause a life without love, thats...thats terrible!
